Hey there everyone!  I just thought I would share a favorite recipe with you all.....

Yummy Flaxseed Muffin Recipe

Not sure if this is 100% clean...but it's gotta be pretty darn close....

1 1/2 C. Unbleached White Flour,
3/4 C. Bob's Red Mill Flaxseed Meal,
3/4 C. Oat Bran,
1 C. Light Brown Sugar,
2 Tsp. Baking Soda,
1 Tsp. Baking Powder,
1/2 Tsp. Salt, 2 Tsp. Cinnamon,
1 1/2 C. Carrots (shredded),
2 Apples (shredded)
1/2 cup raisins (optional),
1/4 cup Dried Apricots (optional),
1/2 cup Nuts, chopped (optional)
3/4 cup 2% milk,
2 eggs well beaten,
1 tsp. Vanilla.

Pre-heat oven to 350*F. Lightly grease muffin tins or line with paper baking cups; set aside. Mix together flour, Flaxseed meal, oat bran, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Stir in carrots, apples, raisins and nuts. Combine milk, beaten eggs and vanilla. Pour liquid ingredients into dry ingredients. Stir until ingredients are moistened. Do not over mix. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full and Bake at 350* for 15-20 minutes. Yields 15 muffins...Approx. 210 cals per muffin!!! ENJOY!!!! (My Kids Love Them)

Who I am....

...Hi my name is Shannon..completely new to the world of blogging! 
I created this blog for many reason..one of them being that I am 30 years old, and I am just
starting to really discover WHO I AM, and I would love to share my life experiences with
anyone who might care to hear them.

I am obviously not going to go into huge detail about my life right off the bat..but I will
give you a little glimpse of who I am.  I am a born again Christian, Lover of Jesus Christ
1st and foremost!! Without him..I am nothing!! I am a mommy of my two beautiful
little babies, Alexander 6 and Kaitlyn 3.  I am a daughter, a sister, and a friend.

The main reason for this blog is to share with people my new found love of fitness.
I grew up the "chubby" kid, and it got worse as I got older.  At my heaviest weight
I tipped the scales at about 230 + pounds, and it wasn't until just the past year or so 
that I have reclaimed my life and gotten my health under control.  How did I do it??
Well 1st of all...I took ownership of where I was..I could make excuses and blame
situations for the weight that I had gained..but at the end of the day..I was the only
one who got me there! Then I decided that I wanted to change!  I mean..Really
Change!  I had been on diet after diet and lost weight only to gain it back my whole
life...now it was time for something different.  A LIFE change..not just another diet.
I was very unhappy with myself...just out of a bad marriage, and feeling like I was at
the bottom of the pit.  You know what the beauty of being at the bottom is??
You can only go UP baby!!  To make a long story short..once I made these
decisions I needed to put them into action.  I started the only way I knew how..
I stared eating as healthy as I could and I started moving.  Weight started coming off
and I felt better.  Then in March of 2011 I found my keys to success!! BEACHBODY 
products!  I started with Chalean Extreme, loved the results I got from that and
quickly moved onto Insanity...and those programs changed my life forever.  Now 
here I am over a year later...still working hard toward my goals. I now weigh 145lbs
and am in the best shape and health of my life.  I decided a few months ago to become
and Beachbody coach so that I could pay it forward and help others achieve their
goals, and get healthy and happy!  I am enjoying my children more, and I love
my life now..I want others to know that these things are POSSIBLE to obtain.
You have to put in the work to get the results...but Man O Man...does it feel
great to know what I have done!
